An important company with global presence in information technology is looking for a Business Analyst to join its product and project teams.
This role is ideal for a professional with experience translating business and customer needs into clear functional requirements, managing product documentation, refining backlogs, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that digital solutions deliver the expected functional value.
Role Purpose
Manage the functional definition of digital products throughout their lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis to implementation and continuous improvement. The role translates business and customer needs into clear, actionable, and prioritized functional definitions within the backlog, facilitating communication between business, design, project and technical teams, and ensuring that deliverables meet the expected functional value and project objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Assume functional ownership of the assigned product or functionalities, ensuring that business and customer needs are properly understood, translated, and reflected in the expected behavior of the solution.
- Manage functional communication with clients, stakeholders, Project Managers, design teams, technical teams and internal areas through meetings, calls, emails, or other defined channels.
- Gather, clarify, analyze and refine business requirements, modeling processes and translating them into concrete, actionable functional definitions aligned with the project scope.
- Prepare, update and maintain functional and business documentation, including requirement documents, change controls, Product Backlog Items, user stories, measurable acceptance criteria, AS-IS / TO-BE scenarios when applicable, and other required deliverables.
- Manage and refine the product backlog, translating business needs into clear user stories and actionable tasks with measurable acceptance criteria.
- Act as the main functional point of contact for day-to-day requirements, clarifying scope, resolving functional questions, aligning priorities and ensuring shared understanding to reduce rework.
- Coordinate and conduct functional validation of deliverables, including acceptance testing, interface reviews and functionality validation.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies, providing functional context and contributing to team collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Analyze product usage metrics and user feedback to identify issues, improvement opportunities and short-term adjustments that enhance user experience.
- Work closely with technical operations teams to analyze reported tickets, identify recurring issues and propose functional improvements for backlog prioritization.
- Lead the functional analysis of change requests, assessing their impact on scope, documentation, backlog and product behavior.
- Drive and coordinate, together with technical and design teams, the development and validation of Proofs of Concept, ensuring alignment with business needs and product decision-making.
Requirements
- Graduate, bachelor?s degree or professional degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, Business Administration, International Business or related fields.
- Advanced English level.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in roles such as Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Product Owner or similar positions in software development or digital product projects.
- Experience creating functional documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, requirement documents, change controls and Product Backlog Items.
- Knowledge of business process management and process modeling.
- Experience using collaborative management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of process modeling tools such as Visio, Bizagi, Mermaid or similar.
- Strong written communication skills for business, functional and technical documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively and proactively with technical teams, business stakeholders and end users.
- Analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, negotiation and functional coordination abilities.
- Empathy to understand user needs and translate them into functional product improvements.
- Adaptability to changing priorities, business needs and project contexts.
Nice to Have
- Professional Scrum Product Owner I certification or similar.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Power BI, Tableau or Google Analytics.
- Basic understanding of UX/UI flows and collaboration with design teams.
- Knowledge of tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar.
- Knowledge or experience using generative AI, agents or automation tools for documentation, requirements analysis, process modeling or functional deliverables.
- Experience in digital products or technology-driven environments.
