Litigation Legal Assistant
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bilingual Legal Assistant to support a busy litigation-focused law practice. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment, enjoys managing multiple priorities, and has experience supporting attorneys throughout the litigation process.
Schedule
Monday-Friday
Approximately 9:00 AM ? 5:00 PM (with lunch break)
Key Responsibilities
Litigation Support
Assist with active litigation matters from intake through case resolution.
Maintain, organize, and update case files and legal documentation.
Track court deadlines and ensure timely follow-up on case activities.
Monitor case progress and follow up on outstanding items.
Support attorneys with case preparation and litigation-related administrative tasks.
Understand and navigate litigation workflows and court processes.
Client & Stakeholder Communication
Communicate professionally with clients, courts, government agencies, opposing counsel, and other third parties.
Manage incoming and outgoing calls and correspondence.
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and case-related communications.
Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
Administrative Support
Manage attorney calendars and scheduling.
Coordinate meetings and Outlook calendar invitations.
Maintain accurate records and correspondence.
Assist with document management and internal workflows.
Follow established SOPs and legal procedures while supporting process improvements.
Records Requests & Research
Process, track, and follow up on records requests.
Assist with public records and information requests.
Support document collection and case-related investigations.
Experience with FOIA/Public Records Requests is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 1?2 years of experience as a Legal Assistant supporting litigation matters.
Strong understanding of litigation processes and case lifecycle management.
Experience working in a U.S.-based legal environment preferred.
Language Skills
Fluent in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Preferred Qualifications
Legal Assistant experience supporting litigation matters in Florida.
Familiarity with Florida court procedures and litigation workflows.
Experience working with U.S.-based law firms.
