Mode: 35+ hours / week
Reports To: Local Area Director
Target Profile: Early-career professional (1?2 years experience) with a background in Accounting or Industrial Engineering.
Engagement Purpose
FTA International is seeking a highly analytical, meticulous, and autonomous independent consultant to provide remote administrative, logistical, and compliance support for our regional market operations. Operating as an external contractor, the Consultant will manage their own schedule and tools to audit vendor reports, verify cross-border expenses, and synthesize customer deliverables. Because this is a fully remote consultancy, the selected individual must be an absolute self-starter who delivers flawless data accuracy with minimal direct supervision. Uncompromised attention to detail is paramount to success in this position.
Consultancy Deliverables and Responsibilities
1. Vendor Report Review and Verification
- Independent Line-by-Line Auditing: Perform rigorous, independent reviews of incoming reports, deliverables, and invoices from local agencies and vendors to ensure mathematical accuracy and complete alignment with contract terms prior to submission to FTA management.
- Proof of Performance Validation: Audit vendor submissions to verify they contain all necessary backing evidence (such as promotional photos, digital media analytics, and participant sign-in sheets) matching specific contract milestones.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Autonomously identify and document errors or omissions in vendor reports, coordinating directly with the vendor to secure corrections before presenting the final package to the Compliance
2. Customer and Cooperator Reporting
- Quarterly Report Synthesis: Methodically compile local activity data, financial tracking metrics, and operational milestones into structured, client-ready drafts matching specific customer and agricultural cooperator guidelines.
- Final Report Preparation: Synthesize end-of-campaign or end-of-fiscal-year data into formal final reports, ensuring all qualitative narrative achievements tie back exactly to quantitative budget expenditures with zero calculation gaps.
- Template Compliance: Ensure all reporting formats, metrics, and data presentations strictly adhere to specific customer-mandated templates and regulatory compliance frameworks.
3. Expense Tracking and Financial Documentation
- Meticulous Receipt Auditing: Collect, organize, and conduct initial verifications on monthly expense receipts submitted by regional field teams and contractors, ensuring no missing documentation or unapproved variances exist.
- Multi-Currency Data Entry: Log local expenditures (such as COP, GTQ, or PEN) into centralized tracking systems with absolute data integrity and approved institutional exchange rates.
4. Travel and Event Logistical Support
- Itinerary Support and Pre-Approvals: Assist in organizing complex regional transportation, lodging, meeting spaces, expense reports verifying that projected per diems and costs align perfectly with established company policies.
- Event Administrative Assistance: Provide structured administrative support during local trade shows and culinary promotions, maintaining error-free records of vendor deliveries and local invoices.
Required Qualifications and Equipment
- Education: Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a highly analytical, process-driven field.
- Experience: 1?2 years of professional experience in auditing, accounting support, process tracking, or business administration. (Relevant analytical internship experience counts).
- Language Skills: Professional bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Must be able to write professional, grammatically flawless report summaries in English and cross-check translated local financial documents.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data formatting, formulas, lookups), Adobe PDF and cloud storage architectures (Google Drive).
Contractual and Logistical Requirements:
- Autonomous Operational Setup: Must possess their own reliable computer, high-speed internet connection, and a quiet workspace suitable for remote video conferences.
- Financial Independence: Must possess a valid personal credit card to initially secure business-related travel expenses (to be reimbursed per contract terms).
- International Travel Readiness: Must possess a valid, active passport. Possession of a valid U.S. tourist Visa is highly preferred (though not strictly required).
Core Competencies
- Paramount Attention to Detail: An innate ability to catch minor discrepancies, mathematical errors, or omitted compliance items without needing a second pair of eyes.
- Self-Motivation and Autonomy: Proven ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and execute a complex scope of work entirely remotely with minimal daily oversight.
- Process Orientation: A natural alignment with structural systems, checklists, and workflows (typical of an engineering or auditing background).
- High Accountability: Dedicated to verifying the absolute accuracy of a dataset or report before pushing it forward to management.
