🎯 Your Challenge

You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and operational continuity of Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Your main responsibilities will include:

- Administering and supporting Microsoft SQL Server in production environments. ? Managing Azure SQL, SQL Server on Azure VMs, and AWS RDS for SQL Server. ? Installing, configuring, patching, and upgrading SQL Server instances. ? Monitoring and optimizing queries, indexes, execution plans, CPU, memory, storage, and transaction logs. ? Managing backup, restore, recovery, and database integrity processes. ? Supporting High Availability, Disaster Recovery, clustering, replication, and SQL Server Always On. ? Troubleshooting performance, connectivity, blocking, locking, availability, and data integrity issues. ? Managing database security, users, roles, permissions, and encryption controls. ? Supporting SSIS and Azure Data Factory processes. ? Automating DBA activities using T-SQL and PowerShell. ? Supporting database migrations, upgrades, refreshes, and Cloud migration initiatives. ? Participating in Incident, Problem, Change, Security, and Disaster Recovery processes. ? Collaborating with international technical teams and stakeholders.

🔎 What We?re Looking For

✔ Hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server in production environments. ✔ Strong knowledge of T-SQL, SQL Server administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting. ✔ Experience with performance tuning, indexes, execution plans, and query optimization. ✔ Experience with backup, restore, recovery, and database integrity checks. ✔ Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery. ✔ Experience with Azure SQL and/or AWS RDS for SQL Server. ✔ Knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory. ✔ Experience with SQL Server security, patching, and upgrades. ✔ Knowledge of SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory. ✔ Experience with PowerShell for scripting and automation. ✔ Experience with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira. ✔ Advanced spoken and written English ? Mandatory, as you will communicate regularly with US-based teams and stakeholders.
